Project Goal

This project began with the challenge of building a 3D model of a structurally accurate, modern day Wind Turbine within Cinema 4D. Once the turbine model was built, the web application was designed with the purpose of it being a fun and educational platform with different dimensions of interactivity.

3D Modelling

Narrative

Research

Extensive online research on the modern Wind Turbine was carried out in order to construct a storyline for the application. The research was then reduced to the most compelling details and arranged into a cohesive, organized fashion that would highlight the most interesting technical and historical features of the Wind Turbine..

Establish

The user is sent on a quest of discovery to learn how the power of the wind is harnessed by the modern day Wind Turbine.

Build

The user discovers interesting and educational details about the Wind-Turbine as they interact with the application.

Resolve

The experience closes with an inspirational statement by National Geographic: "By 2050, one third of the world's electricity needs will be fulfilled by wind power".
