Project Goal

The purpose of this application is for it to be used as a fun and interactive educational tool. The goal was to design the most effective method to communicate the unique story of the life of a Bacteriophage and its importance in medicine. All of the 3D models were built within Cinema 4D and exported for use in this custom designed and built web application.

Design

The goal of the user interface design of this application is to create a feeling of vast open space, as if the user is experiencing the events at a microscopic level. This is achieved by creating a black backdrop that expands the space and draws attention to the events of the bacteriophage, bacteria and informational text.

3D models for the bacteriophage and the bacteria were created from scratch within Cinema4D.

Narrative

Research

Extensive online research on the bacteriophage was carried out in order to construct a storyline for the application. The research was then reduced to the most compelling details and arranged into a cohesive, linear fashion that would carry out the application's storyline.

Establish

"The bacteriophage's effect can save human lives". Bacteriophages are most dangerous to bacteria, and a potential life saver for humans. Discover how.

Build

The user engages in a journey of discovering the bacteriophage's unique abilities.

Resolve

The future of medicine is brighter with the bacteriophage's unique and beneficial qualities.
